- Restart your phone
Before trying any technical move, there is a possibility that there's nothing wrong with the sensor itself-it may be misbehaving because of some software glitches. A simple restart can help fix a lot of software-related issues on your smartphone, and it takes just about two minutes to get that done.
To restart your phone on many TECNO phones, kindly press and hold the power button for about 8-10 seconds or do it in a common way by holding the power button and swiping up on the screen.
Check if the sensor is now working properly or move to the next step.
- Update your phone
On the other hand, a system bug lying around the system from the last system update might cause the proximity sensor not to work.
